Sub-standard vaccination compliance and the 2015 Disneyland measles outbreak

A group of us at HealthMap recently published a study in JAMA Pediatrics in which we estimated MMR vaccination rates among the population exposed to measles cases epi-linked to the 2015 Disneyland measles outbreak. Though we got some (unfortunately expected) push-back from the anti-vax community, we also received a ton of (very positive!) media coverage from a variety of different outlets (from NPR to Jezebel and more). If you’re interested in reading the paper, you can find it here!

In line with our commitment to community outreach and education, we also presented our study methods and findings at the BU undergraduate public health association’s vaccination panel earlier this month. You can view the slideshow below or download the PDF here.
